A Slight Disappointment
I always had the impression, and I am sure many others did too, that the Coffee-Bike, from which one can and does buy delicious coffee, drove on its own three wheels to each event where I have seen it. I could well imagine a happy coffee person, bicycling across the country, without a care in the world and plenty of coffee beans

Hannover: First Impressions
It is no secret that the very first impression a person receives, whether they realise it or not, is the one which will influence them for a while to come. It could be a person, it could be a product or, in this case, a city. That first view settles how the mood is going to be for then rest of the day, and it is very hard to shift, to sway, to dispose of.

The first day of my Travel Week, which turns out not to be an entire week after all, since we all have other commitments, but close enough to be satisfying. And where better to start than in Hamburg, on a beautifully sunny Monday morning when, as I thought, there would be little if anything going on, and perhaps a few good images to be caught.

Bremen: Caught in Stone.
Welcome to fear, and friendliness. The lions in front of the Dom in Bremen are a masterwork of art and representation, even if the tale they appear to tell is not quite Bible-true and they, carved many hundreds of years ago, do not quite look like the lions we see on the Discovery Channel, or the start of old films in the cinema.
