The first day of my Travel Week, which turns out not to be an entire week after all, since we all have other commitments, but close enough to be satisfying. And where better to start than in Hamburg, on a beautifully sunny Monday morning when, as I thought, there would be little if anything going on, and perhaps a few good images to be caught.

Another ordinary day in the centre of the city - and it could be any city you care to name. People sitting and watching, waiting for something to happen, or for the opportunity to make something happen.

Bremen: Summer Relaxation
A day of sunshine and warmth, and the crowds begin to gather on the streets, in the parks, wherever there is space to sit and relax. The beer gardens and restaurants with outside catering spread their tables and chairs across the pavement, into the market square

A Family That Plays Together….
The streets are filled with every conceivable emotion, from joy to sadness, from life to death. You simply have to now where to look or, as with so many things, and certainly with street photography, you have to be at the right place, at the right time.
